What is there not to love about love?  It’s aspirational, gut-wrenching, consuming, confrontational, joyous, maddening, and oh so steamy.  And when it’s right, it’s true.  I’ve been reading romance novels since I was about thirteen.  As many as I’ve read, and as much as they've delighted me, it’s only recently that I’ve begun to see a spectrum of emotional experiences that are true to love too -- among them experiences that reflect my own as a person of color.  In the worlds I create, love is black and white and so much more.  It’s true.
